The Lore
On its brief, glorious existence
It began, as these things do, with a rebrand. A certain Parisian laboratory retired the name Le Chat in favour of something more atmospheric. The chatbot would henceforth be known as Vibe.
The community, ever generous, decided this deserved a sibling. And so the legend was authored in real time: a colossal new model, the largest ever conceived, weighing in at a frankly indulgent 24 trillion parameters. Its name carried the same poise as its forebear, only fatter.
It topped every leaderboard nobody had verified. It was the most capable system ever announced and the most quickly withdrawn. Within hours it was, with characteristic French shrug, suspended - allegedly for being too powerful, more likely for never having existed at all.

The Etymology
One word. Two readings. Zero apologies.
Vain, foppish, pompous. A man too pleased with himself to notice the room. From the Latin fatuus - silly, insipid, full of nothing in particular.
The intended reading.Rotund. Generously proportioned. A kitten of unimpeachable density. The reading everyone went with immediately and refused to relinquish.
The reading that won.The maison maintains, for the record, that it always meant the first one. The maison is, in this respect, alone.
